1. Agreement
This End User Licence Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you and Saturn8 Games (“Saturn8”, “we”, “us” or “our”) for your use of the mobile game After Dark: Rescue (the “Game”). By downloading, installing, accessing or using the Game, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Game.
2. Licence
Subject to this Agreement, Saturn8 grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use the Game on devices that you own or control for personal, non-commercial entertainment, subject to applicable law and the relevant app-store terms.
3. Restrictions
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you must not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicence, publicly exploit, modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code from, circumvent technological protections in, or create derivative works from the Game or any part of it. You must not interfere with its operation, manipulate leaderboards or achievements, or use the Game in a way that infringes the rights of Saturn8 or another person. These restrictions do not affect non-excludable legal rights.
4. Ownership and intellectual property
The Game is licensed, not sold. Saturn8 and its licensors retain all rights to the Game, including its code, characters, artwork, graphics, animations, music, audio, story, designs, names, branding and other content. This Agreement does not transfer ownership of the Game or its intellectual property to you.
5. Gameplay, progression and local saves
After Dark: Rescue includes arcade rescue gameplay, including Extraction and Convoy modes, character progression, unlockable outfits and other in-game rewards. Gameplay features and the conditions for unlocking content may vary by version.
The Game does not require a Saturn8 player account. Game progress and ordinary save data are intended to be kept locally on your device rather than in a Saturn8-hosted player-profile database. Deleting the Game, clearing its local data, losing or changing a device, or some software failures can cause locally stored progress to be lost. Platform backup, restoration or synchronisation features, where available, are governed by the relevant platform and may not preserve every item of progress. Saturn8 cannot guarantee recovery of locally stored saves.
6. Free runs and rewarded advertisements
The free-to-play version of the Game may limit available runs. Where the Game offers an optional rewarded advertisement to obtain additional runs, successfully completing that advertisement and having the reward confirmed grants three additional runs. No reward is guaranteed for an unavailable, cancelled, interrupted or unsuccessful advertisement. Network access, advertising availability and the conditions shown in the Game may affect whether the option can be used.
Advertisements are supplied through third-party advertising and mediation services. Their availability and content are not fully controlled by Saturn8. The After Dark: Rescue Privacy Policy explains related data practices and privacy choices.
7. Premium access and in-app purchases
The Game may offer optional purchases, including Premium access and additional content such as outfit packs. Premium may provide unlimited runs or other benefits as described on the purchase screen. The items, prices and entitlements available are those displayed at the point of purchase; buying one item does not necessarily unlock every optional item or feature.
Purchases are processed by the app store or platform from which you obtained the Game, and are also governed by that platform's payment, purchase and refund terms. Saturn8 does not directly receive or store your payment-card details through the Game. Your statutory consumer rights, including applicable remedies for faulty or misdescribed digital content, remain unaffected.
8. Leaderboards, achievements and platform services
If enabled in the version of the Game you use, optional leaderboards and achievements may use Apple Game Center or equivalent platform services. Using these features may require platform authentication and may involve submission of scores, achievements and platform account identifiers to the platform provider. Availability and visibility are governed by platform settings, service terms and privacy policies. Saturn8 does not promise that any leaderboard position, score or achievement will remain available indefinitely.
9. Third-party services, advertising and app-store terms
Optional rewarded advertising may be mediated through Unity LevelPlay and may involve advertising providers such as ironSource, Google AdMob and Unity Ads, depending on the live advertising configuration. Those services operate under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Where applicable law or platform rules require consent or permission for advertising technologies, the Game should request and respect the relevant choices, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Where you obtain the Game from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that this Agreement is between you and Saturn8, not Apple. Saturn8, not Apple, is responsible for the Game and its content, subject to applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Game. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce it against you as third-party beneficiaries when you accept it.
10. Updates and availability
Saturn8 may provide updates, improvements, fixes or changes to the Game. Some updates may be needed for continued compatibility. Features, supported devices, online services, advertisement availability and content may change or be discontinued where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every future device or operating system.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to those rights, the Game is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without a promise that it will always operate without interruption or error. Saturn8 is not liable for business losses arising from personal, non-commercial use of the Game or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when this Agreement was accepted.
12. Termination
This Agreement remains in effect until terminated. You may end it by ceasing use and uninstalling the Game. Your licence may end if you materially breach this Agreement. On termination, you must stop using the Game and delete copies under your control, subject to applicable law. Provisions concerning ownership and other provisions intended to survive termination will continue to apply.
13. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement when reasonably necessary to reflect changes in the Game, applicable law or platform requirements. We will give notice of material changes where required by law. The effective date above indicates the version shown here.
14. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. Nothing in this Agreement prevents proceedings in a court with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
