1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Saturn8 Games (“Saturn8”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile game After Dark: Rescue (the “Game”). It covers Saturn8's limited game analytics, local game progress, optional rewarded advertising, purchases and any platform leaderboard or achievement services enabled in the Game. Third-party platforms and advertising providers may also process information under their own policies.
2. Information handled directly by Saturn8
You do not need a Saturn8 account or need to give Saturn8 your name or email address to play the Game. Saturn8 does not operate a server-based player-profile or cloud-save service for the Game. Our own analytics system receives limited event notifications described below.
If you email us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send and may use them to respond, provide support and comply with legal obligations.
3. Local progress and saved game data
The Game saves progress locally on your device. On supported Apple devices signed into iCloud, it also automatically synchronises eligible progress through Apple's iCloud key-value storage. This can include character levels, unlocked content, achievements and an in-progress Convoy save. Apple handles that cloud storage under your Apple Account and its own privacy terms. Synchronisation may be delayed or unavailable when you are offline or not signed into iCloud; the Game continues saving locally. Save-game contents are not sent to Saturn8's aggregate analytics service, and Saturn8 does not operate a player-profile or cloud-save server. Paid ownership is verified separately through the App Store, including Restore Purchases.
4. Saturn8 aggregate game analytics
When the Game is connected to the internet, it may send simple event notifications to a Saturn8-operated website endpoint. The currently supported events record: a game launch (game_launched), a confirmed Premium purchase (premium_purchased), a confirmed Christmas outfit-pack purchase (christmas_pack_purchased), and a completed rewarded advertisement that grants three extra runs (after_dark_rescue_runs). A game-launch event may include one broad device category: iPhone, iPad or iPhone Duo. The server stores aggregate daily totals by game and event type, including these broad device categories for launches when provided. Older launches and launches without a category remain unclassified. The dashboard may also show a calculated bonus-run total (successful run-reward ads multiplied by three).
The event payload does not include your name, email address, advertising identifier, Game Center identifier, persistent device identifier, player account, precise location, payment-card information or save-game contents. Saturn8's analytics database does not store IP addresses or player-level histories alongside these aggregate counters.
Every HTTPS connection necessarily involves technical information such as an IP address to deliver the request. The web host may also maintain access, diagnostic or security logs separately. These logs are not used by Saturn8 to build individual player profiles or linked to its aggregate event counters.
5. Optional rewarded advertising and third parties
The free version of the Game may offer an optional rewarded advertisement which, once successfully completed and rewarded, grants three additional runs. Saturn8 uses advertising or mediation technologies for that function, including Unity LevelPlay where enabled; live advertising partners may include ironSource, Google AdMob and Unity Ads. The exact providers may vary by platform, location and advertising configuration.
Advertising providers may receive or process technical and device information, IP address, app and operating-system information, advertising or device identifiers where permitted, approximate location inferred from technical information, and advertisement interactions (such as requests, views, completion and rewards). They may use information for ad delivery, measurement, security, fraud prevention and, where legally permitted and with any necessary consent, personalised advertising. Saturn8 does not receive that device-level advertising data in its own aggregate analytics database.
The advertising integration includes Unity Ad Quality. When enabled, this service analyses advertising experiences and related technical information, such as ad source, creative references and ad interactions, to help monitor ad content and diagnose problems. This advertising-service information is separate from Saturn8's aggregate game-event counters.
6. Advertising partners and their policies
Depending on the advertising configuration, relevant services may include Unity LevelPlay / ironSource, Google AdMob and Unity Ads. These providers may act as independent controllers for some information and apply their own retention practices, rights procedures and privacy policies. Advertising partners can change over time. Details of the partners actually used should also be available in the Game's applicable consent interface, where required.

7. Consent and privacy controls
Where applicable law requires consent for advertising or device-access technologies, the Game will request it before enabling processing that requires that consent, and provide a means to revisit or withdraw relevant choices. Withholding consent for personalised advertising may affect available ads but does not necessarily prevent contextual advertising or processing permitted on another lawful basis.
On Apple devices, when an advertising practice constitutes tracking under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the Game will respect the system's tracking permission. Platform privacy settings may also let you limit advertising identifiers and manage related preferences.
The Game's Settings includes Privacy Policy, Ad Privacy Options and Ad Information & Report. Regional advertising choices can be revisited where the consent provider makes a form available. Declining Apple's tracking permission does not prevent play or access to suitable non-tracking rewarded advertising, although an advert may not always be available. The information or privacy icon on an advert can provide further details about that advert and its targeting.
If you choose to report an advert through the Game, it prepares an email containing your selected reason, any comments you enter, the game version and available references for the last advert shown in that session, such as its network and creative or auction reference. You can review or cancel the email before sending it. The Game does not automatically send reports and does not include an advertising identifier, save-game contents or a targeting profile in this report. If you send it, we use the information and your email address to investigate and respond to the support request.
8. Leaderboards and achievements
Where enabled and used, the Game may integrate with Apple Game Center or an equivalent platform service to display leaderboards or achievements. The platform may process your player profile, platform-specific identifier, submitted scores, achievement status and related service information. Other players may be able to see information made visible through that platform, according to your account settings. The handling, storage and deletion of this information is governed by the platform's terms, privacy notice and account controls.
This platform data is separate from Saturn8's own daily aggregate event counters; those counters do not contain Game Center player identifiers or leaderboard scores.
9. Purchases and app-store data
When you purchase Premium access, a Christmas outfit pack or other optional content, the app-store provider processes the payment and transaction in accordance with its terms and privacy policy. Saturn8 does not receive payment-card numbers through the Game. Saturn8's own analytics receives simple completed-purchase event counters for Premium and the Christmas pack, not your store credentials, transaction identifier or payment receipt.
10. Children and age-related protections
The Game is not specifically designed for children. Where the Game may be accessed by younger users, Saturn8 intends to apply age-appropriate platform and advertising settings and comply with applicable requirements. Parents and guardians should review the Game's age rating and the device's privacy and purchase controls. Advertising restrictions may vary depending on age, location and platform.
11. Retention and deletion
Saturn8 keeps aggregate daily analytics counters for historical game-performance analysis and reviews whether older counters remain necessary. Because these totals do not contain a player or device identifier, we cannot use them to identify, retrieve or delete an individual player's event history. Web-host access and security logs may be kept separately according to hosting settings and legitimate security requirements. We retain support emails only as long as reasonably needed for support and relevant legal obligations.
Third-party advertising networks, app-store providers and Game Center or equivalent platforms apply their own retention and deletion processes. Use the relevant provider's privacy controls or contact the provider for requests concerning data they hold.
12. International transfers
Advertising providers, platform operators and hosting or support providers may process personal information outside your country. Where Saturn8 is responsible for a restricted transfer of personal data, it will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism as required. Other providers are responsible for their own transfers and disclosures under applicable laws.
13. Security
Saturn8 limits the data in its own analytics database to aggregate daily counts and uses HTTPS to receive event notifications. Other service providers implement their own security measures. No electronic service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to ask about personal information, request access or correction, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can contact Saturn8 using the address below. We will consider requests relating to information we actually hold, such as support emails or identifiable server logs, as required by law.
Our anonymous aggregate event counts cannot normally be associated with a particular person. If you want to exercise rights over information held by an advertising network or platform provider, use its privacy controls or contact that provider directly. You may also have the right to complain to your relevant data-protection regulator, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office where applicable.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Game, advertising or platform partners, our analytics implementation, applicable law or platform requirements. Material changes will be communicated where required. The effective date above identifies the version displayed here.
